Spray Foam, Great Stuff, Expanding Foam…whatever you want to call it, please stop using this type of product to fix “everything!” I am sure there are a few legitimate uses for this product, but unfortunately I am unable to think of any. I see the foam used in most DIYer type house fixes. These pictures are all from the same house I recently inspected. I think the house was held together with 100s of pounds of foam. If you have to reach for the “Great Stuff,” stop, for just a second, and ask yourself….is this stuff really that great, do I really need to use this or is there a better fix!
