Happy Fourth of July

Happy Fourth of July everyone! Since fireworks seem to be everywhere, I thought we’d talk a little about fire safety today. I’m sure that most of you know about fire safety, but fireworks are a little different. When setting them off, make sure that you are within a safe distance from your home and any other combustible materials. Once you light the wick, stand at least 15 feet away. If it doesn’t ignite or go off, just move to the next one. Most injuries occur once someone lights the wick and thinks it’s a dud, only for it to go off the moment they put their hands near the firework.  Remember, it’s not worth it and it’s best to not have any fireworks than no fingers come July 5th!

God Bless America!
